North makes four changes

Posted July 30, 2010 19:30:00

North Melbourne has made three unforced changes for Sunday's must-win AFL match against the Western Bulldogs.

The Kangaroos have recalled Lindsay Thomas, Scott McMahon and Sam Wright, while Marcus White will make his senior debut at Docklands.

Ben Warren is out with a back injury and David Hale, Gavin Urquhart and first-year player Ryan Bastinac were dropped.

North sits in ninth, one game outside the top eight and needs to upset the fourth-placed Bulldogs to stay in finals contention with five rounds left.

The Bulldogs have promoted Liam Jones for his AFL debut and he comes in for Callan Ward, who has a hip injury.

Richmond has reacted to last week's poor effort against Collingwood by dropping four players for Sunday's match against Adelaide at the MCG.

The Tigers have left out Dean Polo, Robin Nahas, Alex Rance and Jayden Post for Kel Moore, Matt White, Danny Jackson and Will Thursfield.

The Crows recalled Chris Schmidt and Jack Gunston for suspended defender Graham Johncock and Tony Armstrong.

Fremantle has regained David Mundy and Chris Tarrant for the Derby against West Coast, while Justin Bollenhagen will play his first senior game.

Rhys Palmer (shoulder), Clancee Pearce (knee) and Dylan Roberton were the omissions.

The Eagles promoted Tom Swift and Patrick McGinnity for Adam Selwood (shoulder) and Ashton Hams (suspension).
