| Friday, 18 May 2007. 07:42 (AWST) Deadline looms for boundary change sayThe Western Australian public has its last chance today to comment before draft electoral boundaries for the next state election are released. The WA Electoral Commission has received 33 written submissions on the process, but a spokesman says they have received only a few responses in the past fortnight. The draft boundaries will be announced at the end of next month and the public will have a further chance to comment before they are finalised in October. It is expected six regional seats will be abolished and eight extra seats created in the city. |
